Tentacle Maker Tool Box Features and Uses

Tentacle Makers come in three different groove patterns.  The graphic below shows a comparison of 1” sections for each type of Tentacle Maker work surface.  Working surfaces are 2.0” x 2.0”.

Features
There are two important features the Green Stuff Industries tools possess that set them above the competition:

  1. The upright section of the base on each Tentacle Maker allows for effortless alignment of the peaks between each plate.  A perfectly aligned tube of up to 0.250" can be achieved easily!
  2. The tapered edge on the upper plate keeps the grooves aligned while making tentacles.  Still want the random organic look?  Just use the flat edge on the opposite end.

The 0.020” deflection at “A” in this drawing results in an equal misalignment of the peaks at “B” and “C”, as well as across the entire working surface.

The tapered edge keeps the deflection at “A” to a minimum!  The peaks are nearly dead on across the entire working surface!

Reduce Waste
Tentacle Makers can also help you reduce your modeling media waste!  If you have extra media left, roll your leftovers into tentacles and hoses and store them for future use!

Suggested Uses
Tentacle Maker tools are excellent for use in:
  • Modeling for tabletop games
  • Creating “mutant” versions of RPG miniatures
  • Adding extra detail to automotive, railroad, and military models
  • Fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Halloween dioramas and miniatures
